If you and your healthcare provider decide that DESCOVY for PrEP is right for you, there are a few things that are important to know:

Take DESCOVY once a day, every day, with or without food. Not just when you think you’ve been exposed to HIV.
Do not miss any doses of DESCOVY. Missing doses may increase your risk of getting HIV.
DESCOVY helps reduce the risk of getting HIV. It doesn’t prevent other sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
Use safer sex practices, like using condoms, to help reduce the risk of getting STIs. Talk with your healthcare provider to learn more.
